simple pleasures...a smile or a sms from the people I love, a simple hello in the morning, a nice cup of coffee in the morning, small little things that seem insignificant are always the things that make you happy.
food...good food makes me happy and it doesn't necessarily have to be expensive.

Opps, just realized I saved yesterday's blog under draft and didn't publish it.

I had a great day today! Went to the mar
ket at Geylang Bahru to have lunch. I miss the 'lor mee' there. It's very light unlike the rest which are heavy and very dark in color. Yummy!

My brother's girlfriend got us tickets to tonight's National Day Parade Preview! Yippee! I've not been to one for a long time and the tickets are so tough to get! This year's NPD is held at Marina, nice surroundings although the view directly behind the stage isn't great (coz of construction works) but there is a nice side view of the CBD area, Fullerton and the Merlion though. We reached at about 6pm and it was already packed coz the doors open at 4.45pm...I think, hehehe, we didn't want to go so early for a suntan. Got the top row seats but the view is still great! Won't give out much details but you MUST watch the air and sea acts on National Day when the actual parade commence! It's awesome! Some sneak peaks:

One of the sea act that you must look out for...

And of course the beautiful fireworks, my favorite!

National Day Parades have always been quite an emotional event for me, more so when I'm at the actual parade itself. The cheering in unison, our national anthem, national pledge, the national day songs and the unity of the people makes me so proud to be a Singaporean!

Not sure if you've ever felt this way but everytime I travel and the plane touches down at Changi Airport, I feel a great sense of happiness to be back home! It's really a country I call home. Guess I'm just patriotic. What's there to hate about Singapore, I can only wish we have more natural resources, land and natural sceneries.

The parade ended at about 8.15pm, we left and went to Marina Square for dinner, had Sarawak 'Kolo' noodles, nice! Rushed home after dinner to catch the LIVE EARTH concert! I've already missed 4 hours, managed to catch from Crowded House performance onwards.

WOO HOO! 24 hours of concert across 7 countries! SWEET! I'm hoping to catch most of it, hoped I've not missed Madonna, Kanya West, John Mayer & Kylie's performances! Ok, bye now, gotta get back to my TV.
