Happy New Year! It's a brand new year and what better way to start than to have a new look!
2007 had been a pretty remarkable year, a little tumultuous in a way. I left the job I love, took the chance to rest for a couple of months to recollect my thoughts and plan my journey ahead. It's weird and I marvel at how fate has it that I got the chance to return later in the year, I'm thankful for that. Sometimes I think it's because I just can't detach myself from radio or like some will say, it could also be because of the working environment that I'm so used to. I like to think that music is an essential part of my life. I can't live without music, will feel at lost without my daily dose of my favourite songs.
During the months of my self declared rest, I had the opportunity to spend more time with my parents. It makes me closer to them and appreciate them even more. As I grow older, my perceptive changes as well, spending more time with family has taken more priority now. Parents can't be with you throughout your entire life journey.
I had the opportunity to gain insights to the movie industry as well, though short, I've learned a fair bit. There are always little surprises in store when you keep learning and exploring. I need to put in more effort this year to learn more skills.
The only bad thing that happened last year had to be the kidnap scam that some bastards (pardon my language) attempted on us! Thank God my mom was alert enough not to be swindled! And of course we made a police report, no way are we letting them get off so easily. I was so angry! Apparently this kidnap scam happened a few months back and was in the news. I just hope the police catches them so as to put a stop to this. I can't believe there are such evil, heartless bastards out there trying to swindle money from the elderly. Get a proper job for goodness sake! I never thought such things will happened to us, now I just make sure I don't take things for granted.
I had my fair share of bad times as well, betrayal, losing sight of what's ahead, I'm just glad those bad times were short and I was able to pick myself up pretty quickly with the support of my family and friends.
Overall, 2007 wasn't half as bad. 2008 brings new hope and I pray that it ill be a good year. I've not set any resolutions this year, not that I'm lazy, I just don't want to become constricted by it. Let 2008 be a good year!
